Carmen Cubana

 

 Carmen Cubana is a Latin pop opera and musical by choreographer Kim Duddy (script and songtexts) and Martin Gellner and Werner Stranka (Beet4Feet, music and songtexts), which premiered in Austria in 2006. It is based on the novel Carmen by Prosper Mérimée and the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet. The play is set in Cuba and composed with Latin- and Soul-inspired pop music. In 2015, Yusimi Moya Rodriguez appears the first time on stage at a Carmen Cubana live in concert together with the orchestra of Vilnius, Lithuania.
